This Week in Hamden

It's Thanksgiving week, and that means Hamden High School football!

Today is Monday, Nov. 25 and here's what's going on this week in Hamden:

Monday, Nov. 25:

— This morning the Registrars of Voters will conduct an audit required by the state, of the machine count of the Nov. 5 election results in District 1 at 10 a.m. in their office at the Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Ave.

— The Legislative Council meets tonight at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 26:

— Tonight's scheduled Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is cancelled. The next meeting will take place on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in Thornton Wilder Auditorium at Miller Memorial Library.

Thursday, Nov. 28:

— The ultimate Hamden tradition: it's the 53rd annual Green Bowl at Hamden High School when the Green Dragons take on Notre Dame. Tickets are on sale Tuesday and Wednesday at the high school or at the gate Thursday. Kickoff is at 10:30 a.m.

Friday, Nov. 29:

— Thanksgiving Dinner for A Dollar: A traditional home cooked Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings will be served on Friday, Nov. 29 — come anytime between 6 and 7 pm. at Grace and St. Peter's Church, 2927 Dixwell Ave across from Town Hall. On the menu: Mashed potatoes, stuffing, candied yams, cranberry sauce, rolls and of course roasted turkey and gravy. Dinner donation is $1 and a maximum of $5 for families.
