Dunbar Hill Volunteer Fire Company No. 8

Dunbar Hill Volunteer Fire Company No. 8 is home to the Hamden Fire Department's Engine No. 8 and a brush truck. The volunteers supplement the town's paid fire department by giving their time and talent responding to fire calls. All are trained firefighters. At the headquarters, there is a hall that is available to the community to rent. Members also serve the community through their charitable efforts that include fundraising for and staging of the annual Fourth of July fireworks.
