Hamden High School

<p>Hamden High School is the town's only public high school, educating more than 2,000 students in grades 9 through 12. The school is divided into "houses," with a principal for each house. There are three houses of upperclassmen and one house of freshmen. Advance Placement classes are open to students who qualify. There also is a wide variety of elective classes.</p> <p>Educational opportunities run beyond the academic. The school has its own restaurant, nursery school, school store and automotive services run by students in vocational programs. </p>
