This is a wonder of nature that this happens every 17 years and we should not be afraid. It onlyRead More lasts a few weeks, then it is over. Please do not rush out to the local big box store and purchase the bottles of pesticides I have spotted labeled for the cicadas. This would make your pets very ill (eating poisoned cicadas), not to mention potentially harm you and your your children.

To me that doesn't sound like vandals but more like targeted. I would question my daughter. We usedRead More eggs on Halloween in my day. lol Paint is much more damaging. But to be that seems to be targeted.

Jason Ruocco, I live in northern Hamden. Some vandals came up our driveway (which is long andRead More hilly), and poured white paint all over the back of my daughter's car. The car was locked and on our property.

This way of thinking is completely wrong. We were all kids once, we hung out late , we snuck out ofRead More the house and yes we got in trouble. " The kids today arent the same" lime is ridiculous. We do not need a Police state and with that attitude we will have one. A curfew is a slippery slope. When does it end. I will sacrifice my mailbox for my freedom anyday. A curfew isnt going to stop anything. Stop asking for help and help yourselves. Lock your car doors at night . If you are that scared MOVE. Robberies and shootings can happen on any street, not just southern hamden. Orwellian states are a reality with this kind of thinking. Be careful what you wish for.

NO! This is the perfect training ground to desensitize humans to abortions (sarcasm). The animalRead More bodies are just flesh and have no residual sensient aspects. How is a disection different from say ... cutting a steak, slicing an apple in half to see the different patterns based on the line of disection? We are becoming so PC that we will destroy our health care system (oops already going down that road with Obama care) because no one will have any skills, or basic understanding of anatomy, or an interest in learning about anatomy because they had no exposure to it to pique and interest.

So then medical students need to find human clones to dissect and learn about the human condition?Read More Nothing is better than the real thing.

Yes high school students should be able to opt out. Unlike other activities in high school, thisRead More activity is contrary to the values many people hold, and they shouldn't be forced to choose between failing or doing something they find morally repugnant. There are alternatives.

Is it possible to utilize a skillful grant writer to obtain grants for budget line items and use theRead More monies we would have allocated to fund the pension account? At the same time, would it be helpful for residents to know that we are curtailing the debilitated and antiquated defined benefit palns that created this unfortuante situation, but were feasible when Hamden was a smaller town without the encroachment of the major tax abatement of QU?

You don't have to correct me and give me the definition? - you know what I meant. But thanks,Read More that's exactly what I meant. You seem willing to nitpick on one word - what about the comment / message.

He is NOT even a USA citizen, why can't his wife take care of his burial and send him back to hisRead More parents, she is from an affluent family.

By the way, how else would you make this offer if not publicly?

Just curious where the OK City bomber was buried? Or John Gotti. Or John Wayne Gacy. Or Lee HarveyRead More Oswald. We bury enough criminals here, so let's get off our high horse about this guy.

Who cares! I could care less hwat my neighbors do in their house as long as it does not devalue myRead More property, break the law (like cooking meth), or put me or my family at risk (raising pit bulls to be aggressive). Have a large dog, own weapons, like kinky sex, drink, smoke, excersize, be a sloth, raise rabbits, etc...... who cares. If it crosses the fence line and impacts my family - then it matters..... Same for my lifestyle and behaviours - "Don't Tread on Me" and I won't tread on you. Pay your taxes and be active in holding politicians to upholding the Constitiution - then live your life in the pursuit of Life, Liberty and Happiness
